The Watcher occupies the strange territory between landscape, dream, and consciousness.

A vast blue eye emerges from a face that seems less like a person than part of the world itself. Hair becomes current. Lines become waves. A mysterious birdlike figure crosses overhead while a distant horizon glows beneath a darkening sky.

Everything appears to be moving except the eye.

It watches.

Whether that presence represents nature, consciousness, God, memory, or simply the unseen observer is deliberately unresolved. The painting offers the feeling that beneath the movement and noise of existence there may be something still, something aware, quietly witnessing it all.

The longer one looks, the less certain it becomes where the figure ends and the landscape begins.

The Watcher is not intended to explain the mystery. It asks the viewer to enter it.
