Double Trouble is a playful exploration of the divided self.

At first glance, a single mischievous character emerges from the composition, cigarette hanging casually from his mouth and an almost knowing expression on his face. Look longer and another face begins to appear. Two personalities occupy the same space, sharing features while seemingly looking at the world from entirely different perspectives.

The exaggerated eyes, overlapping profiles, and twisting organic forms create a character who seems simultaneously amused, suspicious, confident, and perhaps just a little dangerous.

Unlike duality portrayed as a struggle between good and evil, Double Trouble leaves the relationship deliberately unresolved. These two characters may be opponents, accomplices, or simply different expressions of the same mind.

The result is humorous, strange, and psychologically ambiguous, a portrait of the trouble we sometimes create when there is more than one of us making the decisions.
